The terms Pre-Seed and Seed are widely used to refer to stages of startup development and equivalently of investment. There is hardly an objective definition, and depending on the market, each fund may define it slightly differently. For us, Pre-Seed investment relates to the first institutional capital that comes in as an investment in a company that is at the early stages of its development. At G220 Ventures we combine this investment of initially $$200 - $500K with one-to-one support, a number of additional perks and connections to the market, to service providers and follow on investors. Seed investment is also initial capital but refers to a company founded by a team of experienced entrepreneurs that have already achieved some market traction with their product. At G220 Ventures we support those startups to scale with capital of initially $500K - $2mn, expert support, a number of additional perks and connections to the market, to service providers and follow-on investors.

Yes, of course. All our programs are independent of each other. However, they may (or may not) feed into each other always. We make investments in later stage startups as well.

G220 Ventures typically invests between $100,000 to $500,000 in exchange for an 8% to 25% equity stake. Investment amount and equity stake depend on capital needs and the state of the business. If the startup is nearing death and is looking to participate in our "Startup Survival" program, we may ask for much more equity in exchange for funding and support to ensure the success of the startup.

Yes. Our average portfolio company is typically raising $250K to $500K in funding either before or while starting the program, some as much as $1M. Since our value add is primarily operational and not merely financial, the more important question for entrepreneurs to answer is whether they believe G220 Ventures can help accelerate the growth of their businesses, operating metrics, and fundraising -- thus making the company significantly more valuable after the program.

We accept applications from all over the world. But, to experience the full benefit of our accelerator or ISF programs, you need not move to participate in our programs. If the pandemic has taught us anything is, the programs could run virtually and be equally effective. However, if we decide to invest in an international startup, we would expect founders to move to North America. Most founders use some portion of the investment funds to pay for living expenses or to cover travel expenses incurred while visiting one or more of our offices.

Yes! Actually, we've invested in several companies we originally passed on. It all comes down to timing, and sometimes additional traction and proof points can make all the difference.

Absolutely. We will participate in follow-on financing rounds ourselves and help you find additional international investors.
